Exact fare in cash or ticket is required. Drivers do not carry or give change.

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

FREE RIDES on all Fixed Routes for Active Military and Veterans

Fixed Route Schedule Service Fares

All Veterans and active military personnel are welcome to ride the Franklin Transit Fixed Routes for Free. When boarding the transit vehicles, individuals need to show the transit driver their military ID card.

Ticket Books: For your convenience, you can buy books of tickets at the Downtown Transit Center located at 708 Columbia Avenue.

The Franklin Transit system offers Flexible Deviation pickup/dropoff service on the fixed routes for ADA and Medicare customers within ¾ miles of the published fixed route.

Reservations are required to be made the previous service day (615) 628-0260.
Maximum of two deviations per hour per route.
The fare of a flexible deviation trip is fifty cents (.50) ADA. Medicare charge plus additional fifty centers (.50) for the reserved pickup, for a total fare of one dollar ($1.00).

Available throughout most areas in the city of Franklin.

TODD provides pre-arranged curb-to-curb pick-up and drop-off service as well as all-day, same-day access to Franklin’s fixed route public transit service.

Confirmed Reservations Required

Reservations Required. Reservations are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis with priority given to ADA-eligible and registered individuals. Reservations should be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to requested service date and time. ADA-eligible individuals can make same-day reservations. If you are an ADA-eligible individual who has a need to make a reservation for Monday on a Sunday, please leave a message on Sunday for our operations staff detailing your request by calling (615) 628-0260. We will return your call Monday morning to confirm your pickup. For all non ADA eligible customers, leaving a message on the voice mail is encouraged for any day of the week, but your reservation is not confirmed until you have spoken with a Franklin Transit representative.

Scheduling. Reservations can be made in person Monday-Friday between 9:00 am – 4:30 pm at the Franklin Transit Center, 708 Columbia Avenue or by calling (615) 628-0260. Acceptance of reservation is subject to availability of seat for requested time.

Fares. TODD fares are ZONE-based. All TODD fares include same-day, all-day access to Franklin’s fixed route service.

NOTE: One-way trip is a single pick-up and drop-off.

All TODD vehicles are ADA accessible and can accommodate eight to twelve passengers.

Due to potential traffic and logistic variables, TODD vehicle may arrive up to 15 minutes prior to or 15 minutes after your appointment time. Your TODD driver will standby up to 5 minutes after your appointment time, before requesting to be released by Franklin Transit Operations. If the TODD vehicle is late to your scheduled appointment time, we will make every effort to contact you and standby for 5 minutes after our arrival. Missed appointments due to TODD late arrival will not be considered a “No Show”.

Franklin Transit Master Plan

The City of Franklin is working on a master plan study for transportation mobility in our area. Please visit the Virtual Meeting Room and take a brief survey. Draft goals and recommendations have come from extensive data collection and outreach over the past several months. We want your comments and opinions on future focus and priorities.

Developed to provide recommendations and a vision-based guide for the Franklin Transit Authority, the Study includes a 10-year plan for capital investments and recommendations for serving the transportation mobility needs of the population served by the Authority. The Study includes analysis of a variety of service delivery options and scenarios for consideration by the public, users of the system, and community stakeholders in selecting the preferred scenario. Analysis of costs and revenues along with ridership-based performance metrics are used to evaluate the performance and development of a fiscally constrained plan that includes strategies to address inter-regional travel needs, regional travel needs, and local travel needs alike. The Franklin Transit Authority has contracted outside consultant support from Benesch in partnership with Varallo Public Relations to provide these transportation planning services.

Senior Services

The Franklin Transit Authority allows for Senior Citizens (65+) to pay one half the fare during all services times.
The Franklin Transit system offers Flexible Deviation pickup/drop off service on the fixed routes for Senior Citizen customers within ¾ miles of the published fixed route.
Maximum of two deviations per hour per route.
Reservations are required 24 hours in advance (615.628-0260).
The fare of a flexible deviation trip is a combination of a $.50 cent fare (ADA or Medicare) plus a $.50 fare for reserved pickup, for a total of $1.00.
